Fishscales? yes why not.. Fashion’s doing it why cant interiors follow! Here’s a few examples of how its been applied. Mostly works as tiles, and works perfectly as a decorative element in your livingspace, bar or even bathroom. Some might find it weird, but truth is its different!! 
At the bar, you can sit back and enjoy the minimilasm of the space, and still have a bit of effect + color to complete the look. It could look risky combing colors together, so far its been looking neat. 
Have an accent wall closer to your dining area, why not!

LOVING IT! I work and live at the beach. all year long its mermaids, fish, coral, driftwood. I welcome a fresh take on a coastal feel. But its such a pleasing texture/pattern that it can easily be brought into any space. My latest collection of painted items are inspired by fish scales. I’ll be posting some pictures soon.
